This could be you next summer...getting the chance to make food for hundreds of hungry teens and adult leaders...taking photographers to worksites...cleaning the school/doing the garbage detail...working in the office...the possibilities of how you can serve the Lord are mind-boggling!
But the main reason you should prayerfully consider becoming a TeenServe Volunteer for one or more weeks this coming summer is that you will be a part of seeing the Lord work in the lives of teens, adult leaders and the residents. And it is FUN! TeenServe Volunteers are just a wonderful, awesome, fun group of people to spend time with!
Descriptions of Volunteers Needed
Quick Links: Kitchen Assistants, Photo Guides, Troubleshooter, Health Care Coordinator, Office Assistant, Night Watchman, Set-Up or Clean-Up Volunteers
Kitchen Assistants
The thrill of seeing people transformed before your very eyes from mouth-watering, hungry folks to satisfied, full-stomached workcampers is an awesome experience! You will assist with the preparation of meals and clean up the cafeteria after meals, taking direction from school cooking staff. There are two shifts - early morning and late afternoon, each lasting around 3 to 4 hours.

Photo Guides
Creativity is needed to take the pictures, but being good with a map is the only attribute needed to be a photo guide. Your duties will include driving a TeenServe staff member around to the worksites to take pictures of each crew. This will take place Monday through Friday mornings.

Troubleshooter
General carpentry skills and a positive attitude are the skills needed to
be considered for this great position. You will also need a pick-up truck
to help haul needed materials to the worksites. You will be busy between the
hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday of workcamp week.
You will visit the worksites to assist workcampers with questions regarding
their projects.

Health Care Coordinator
We need several people skilled in administering minor medical care for workcampers. If you live in the community where we will be holding the workcamp, we need you to be "on call" during workcamp week when our resident health care coordinator might be "off duty" or busy.

Office Assistant
Our main office assistant needs to be a cheerful individual who loves to help and answer questions! Good telephone skills are a plus, as are a knowledge of the community that we will be holding the workcamp in. We need people from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Night Watchman
You will most likely live in the town where we are having the workcamp. We would like you to patrol the school grounds throughout the night to be sure that everything remains quiet and uneventful. The hours are 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Two people can share this job!

Set-Up or Clean-Up Volunteers
No experience necessary for this job! You will assist the TeenServe staff in getting the school ready for the workcampers. This will include moving desks, chairs, general cleaning, etc. We also need people to help unload all of the TeenServe sound, lighting and video equipment utilized for the evening programs. This will happen the week before the workcamp begins. Clean up is exactly what it says, moving the desks and chairs back to their original positions and performing general clean up activities. Clean-up takes place the Saturday following the workcamp week.
